[Jxplorer-users] Synchronization of passwords of users in ldap and samba

Hello!

I have set up synchronization of passwords of users in ldap and samba. For this purpose I use smbk5pwd. By means of a command ldappasswd the password in ldap and automatically in samba varies.

But at change of the password ldap in browser JXplorer the password samba does not change. I think, JXplorer uses function ldapmodify, instead of ldappaswd.

Tell how to achieve automatic change of the password of a samba at change of the password ldap in browser JXplorer?

HI,

I have no idea how smbk5pwd works :-).

JXplorer uses java/jndi to make LDAP modify calls to the directory - how
'ldappasswd' works I don't know - I imagine it is directory dependant.
However either way the password should be changed.

Make sure you're using the right encryption scheme (SHA is usually best?)
- otherwise I'm afraid you'd best ask whoever makes smbk5pwd!
