Hi Simon,
I haven't seen this problem; I test all the windows installs on
one of my boxes (windows XP sp2) and it's always gone off o.k. - the
installer can be a bit twitchy about environment though, especially
the java environment. Are you running a recent version of java (1.4
or better)?
Otherwise, all I can suggest is using the raw zip 'deploy'
package from the sourceforge site: http://sourceforge.net/project/
showfiles.php?group_id=55394
cheers,
Chris

Hi there, I downloaded the latest windows install today to install
on my laptop (Windows XP) - when I run the install, I get the first
install dialog/progress bar saying it is initialising, then the
screen just goes totally black - I get a mouse pointer which moves
but alt-tab or ctrl-alt-delete does nothing, standby works
(hibernates my PC) but when it comes back and I logon the installer
kicks in again with the black screen. I have to switch off the PC
to recover.
Just wondered if you had heard about this issue before?
Tried downloading the .exe again and same problem. Tried reboot etc.
We have downloaded and installed on other windows machines
previously without any issues.
Any help/tips appreciated.
