Hi Henry,

I'm afraid JXplorer's handling of referrels is not very good, and by
default referral handling is turned off.

You can go to the configuration file 'dxconfig.txt', and change the
line:

option.ldap.referral=ignore

to

option.ldap.referral=follow

.. and see if that helps, but I'm afraid this is a known weakness of
JX :-(. There are a number of problems here, ranging from problems
with handling relative names to problems with authenticating to
multiple directories that we still haven't worked out...

Hello there,

I start using JXplorer only a few days. It's very powerful and
convenient. Thanks for the great product.

Maybe I didn't find the setting, but when I connect to a slave slapd
(I use OpenLDAP) with JXplorer and try to edit some entries, I got
error code 10 - Referral]". The slave slapd has a updateref in its
slapd.conf. I think JXplorer should connect to the master slapd which
it gets from the referral and send the request. I tried LDAP
Browser/Editor 2.8.2 and it does contact master slapd after gettting
referral. Is there any setting in JXplorer which can enable this
feature?

Thanks in advance,

Thank you very much, Chris. It's working now. I appreciate for your
quick response.
