Hi Ellen,
not 100% sure what you're doing here - are you trying to record LDAP
messages for load testing? If so, you might want to have a look at 'slamd',
which is a sun tool for doing this. Otherwise yes, in theory you can do
what you want with JXplorer, but bear in mind that LDAP is protocol with
many binary elements, and you may have trouble modifying those messages to
include variable elements. If all you want is a recording that you can use
unmodified that should work. (Obviously if SSL is involved this won't work,
but for unencrypted connections it should be fine).

Hi Chris,
I'm writing you today because my group is trying to use JXplorer to record
Loadrunner scripts but we're running into issues with what we think is the
protocol that should be used. Have you or anyone at JXplorer tried doing
this? If so, can you please let me know if there are Loadrunner Protocols
that should be used in addition to LDAP.
