Hi,

I think the problem is your java environment; JX runs fine on java 1.4,
java 1.5 and (apparently!) java 1.6.

You might like to try looking at the mailing list archive
(http://sourceforge.net/mail/?group_id=55394) for people who have had
similar problems; otherwise make sure that >java -version produces something
sensible on the console, start JX from the batch file and send us the error
message (if any) and details of your OS!

cheers,

Chris
Hello Chris,
I am just learning to use LDAP/JNDI. I downloaded your browser. My JDK
initially was 1.7 but JXplorer did not recoginzed it.
I subsequently loaded Java JDKs, 1.4.2, 1.5, 1.6 and it still does not
recognized them, even though I have set the classpath environmentally
and see them when I used the command set at the DOS propmt.
I cannot find a JDK 1.4.0 to downloaded.
How can I overcome this problem?
NB. I am suggesting that during the installation of JXPlorer in the
future, there is the option choose a JDK. This might alleviate my
current problem.

I'm afraid you'll need to ask that of a java forum; I don't even know what
operating system you're running :)

Chris,
When I do java -version, I get version 1.7...
However, I do not see this version in my environment using set.
Where is this path set so I can change it to a compatible version of
java for JX to work.
