Hi Christoph,
sorry to hear you have been having troubles posting to the
list! Many apologies, and I'm afraid I don't know why this has
occurred - it's supposed to send non-subscriber emails to me for
validation.
I'm afraid the mac look and feel is an oversight on my part;
it's a bit dodgy. You should be able to get it back by manually
editing the jxconfig.txt file and set the value:
gui.lookandfeel=apple.laf.AquaLookAndFeel
for the 'gui.lookandfeel' attribute.
... it's a bit of a hack, but I forgot about fixing the GUI :-).

Hi Chris,
my apologies for sending this mail to your personal mail address,
but I cannot get
through on the mailing list. My mail to the list owner address did
not cause
any feedback either, so I assume it got lost (among the spam?) as
well.
Since the sourceforge contact pages states that one may contact you
directly,
I assume that you are the list owner or, at least, can easily
contact the
person responsible for the list. Can you find out why I am unable
to post to
the jxplorer-users list? (This is the only mailing list so far that
causes me
these problems.)
And if you can answer my question about the Mac LookAndFeel, that
would be
even better! :-)
Regards
Christoph

Subject: Fwd: Resent: Cannot switch LookAndFeel back to Mac
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii
Hi,
I tried several times to post the message below to jxplorer-users,
but it was
always discarded, it seems - at least I never received a copy of my
posting
from the list server (I opted to get copy of my own postings in my
list
account configuration!) nor does it appear in the list archive. I
did not
receive an error message, either.
May I ask you to check why I am unable to post?
Regards
Christoph

[Resending, because my previous posting did not make it through. I
am subscribed
and do actually receive postings, so I don't know why it didn't work.]
Hi,
I am running JXplorer build JXv3.2 2007-02-26 on an Intel MacBook Pro.
I played around with the "Advanced Options". I could turn the
LookAndFeel to
"Java" and "Motif" without problems - but now JXplorer refuses to
change the
LookAndFeel back to "Mac". If I select "Mac" in the dialog and
press "Apply",
then nothing happens. If I close the dialog (via "Cancel" or via
the red
button in the dialog frame, as there are no other options left to
get rid of
the dialog) and restart the application, then it comes up again in
the Java or
the Motif LookAndFeel.
Does anyone know how to get the Mac LookAndFeel back?
Thanks!
Christoph
PS: I thought I could change the option directly in the KXplorer
configuration
file - but I was unable to find out where JXplorer stores its user
preferences. :-( Can you explain where JXplorer reads its options
from?
